This 3D icon is for StumbleUpon which is a website which helps its users share great website that they have come across. It’s user base recommends links and websites and rates them to match a users preferences.

3D Digg Icon
A 3D Digg Icon created in 20 mins. I am happy with this icon it turned out how i envisaged it would. Digg is an online community that provides people with the opportunity of sharing content that they have found on the Internet. They encourage the community to examine the links that are submitted, by doing this the best of the Internets content appears on the website.

3D Reddit Icon
Today i planned to create a 3D Icon for Reddit. Below is the icon that i created. I did not have very much time today to set aside for the creation, so i think i spent less than 20 mins on this one and i think it shows. The edges are all too harsh for my liking and the gloss didn’t work i needed to spend some more time on this area.

My first attempt at a twitter bird
For the design challenge i decided to follow a couple of tutorials for creating your own twitter bird with Abode Illustrator. The two tutorials that i used as guides were both very helpful, but i think that i still need more practice at using Illustrator to create characters (Rob Barrett’s twitter bird tutorial and George Coghill’s twitter bird tutorial for GoMediaZine). I wanted to create a fat happy twitter bird.
